Ok, so today I'm adding a second Way to Make a Difference... something that's very close to my heart as it has affected not only my family but also some dear friends so I wanted to share.
A few years back our family was excited to learn that my sister-in-law and her hubby were expecting their fourth child.
Sadly at almost twenty weeks, they were given the heartbreaking news that their little girl no longer had a heartbeat and had died in utero. There was no explanation, only absolute heartbreak for the whole family, none worse than the devastation for them and their three children aged seven, six and two. A day after hearing this news, they delivered their baby girl and after a short time with her, left the hospital empty handed and broken hearted.
But to their absolute credit, they have found an incredible way to help with the healing process after the loss of baby girl.
Their legacy to little Ebony was to create Little Angel Memory Boxes. This charity which is able to donate to hospitals, beautiful memory boxes which are given to the parents and families who experience the loss of a baby or child. These boxes and other support services that they provide, let families of little angels know that they're not alone in their grief and gives them beautiful ways to remember their little one's by.
There's little I really need to say about this one. It speaks for itself. But if you'd like to know more, please take a look at their website on the link above and consider donating.
A family in depths of grief can find comfort, acceptance and a lifetime of memories through LAMB. Small outlay from you, BIG impact on the hearts of others.
In memory of Ebony & Zoe - two little girls who grew their wings in the same week and who have left a lasting impact in our hearts for a lifetime.
